DESCRIPTION
The DoveDOT™ Installation Kit is a bundle of two very important tools needed to properly install your DoveDOT™ rear-sight mounting plate (not included). This kit is designed as a convenience for those licensed gunsmiths / armorers who may not have the specialty tools required for the task or who wish to have what we would use if we were the ones installing the unit. One kit is enough for the installation and maintenance of several DoveDOT™ units, and is functional with all models.
The only other tools that are required for installation but not included in this kit are readily-available items, such as a small hammer for example, and those tools that are specifically required for servicing certain firearm brands, such as a Glock front-sight tool.
INSIDE THE KIT:
- 1 Premium Steel 3/32″ Drift Punch
- 1 small 0.5 mL tube of #243 Blue Loctite
- TACDOM REQUIRES INSTALLATION BY A LICENESED GUNSMITH
- ** After market slides can require extra fitment. Please make sure your licensed gunsmith checks your manufacturer’s specifications for installing sights. For example, some companies use a tapered dovetail on their slides, meaning one side is tighter than the other. Failing to follow the firearm manufacturer’s recommended installation/uninstallation directions could result in excessive force being needed to install the DoveDOT™ kits which could result in damage to the product or firearm. DoveDOT™ units are manufactured with these directions in mind, so if your licensed armorer is having to use more force than a few sharp taps to seat the unit, please ensure you are going the correct direction for installation/uninstallation.

Shipping Policy
All items normally ship within 24-48 hours, but with Covid restrictions and flood of orders, we are looking at up to 7-10 business days. Free shipping is either USPS first class parcel, UPS Ground or FedEX Ground. Priority is also available at an additional cost. Depending on the cost of the order, we may opt for a signature. This is to protect our shipment to you so that it doesn’t get lost or stolen. Orders of $400 or more will require a signature.
