The Thordsen Customs line of Pistol Cheek Rest kits were introduced in 2014 and have withstood the test of time and scrutiny. They are designed and intended to provide a third point of contact on the users cheek and provide a viable solution for AR style pistol lovers to enjoy the accuracy, comfort, utility, reduced weight, and the sexy lines of their AR pistol like the CA approved Franklin arms.
As a result of popular demand by our current customers and those who want to swap out their Stabilizing Braces, we have taken two of our most popular products, our Buffer Tube Covers and 3D printed Snap-on Cheek Rests, and combined them into a new bundle called the Pistol Cheek Rest Conversion Kit.
Our buffer tube covers are injection molded in 33% glass filled nylon and our popular Snap-on Cheek Rests are 3D printed in ASA co-polymer. Both are designed for maximum durability, utility, and good looks to the exacting quality standards that our customers have come to expect.

| The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, Technology Branch has affirmed that the Thordsen Customs Buffer Tube Cover/Saddle combination is a “CHEEK REST” and IS NOT a “rifle stock”. It DOES NOT reclassify an AR/AK type “Pistol” as a “short barreled rifle” under definitions established by the National Firearms Act of 1934 or the Gun Control Act of 1968. However, BATFE does specifically warn that any misuse of, or modification to, this configuration that may cause a firearm to be used outside of its design parameters, such as being shoulder fired, may change its classification and may make a firearm subject to NFA and GCA regulations and/or illegal to possess. Shipping Policy
All items normally ship within 24-48 hours, but with Covid restrictions and flood of orders, we are looking at up to 7-10 business days. Free shipping is either USPS first class parcel, UPS Ground or FedEX Ground. Priority is also available at an additional cost. Depending on the cost of the order, we may opt for a signature. This is to protect our shipment to you so that it doesn’t get lost or stolen. Orders of $400 or more will require a signature.
